Hygienic design aspects for tank and vessel cleaning in the food Industry

The guideline is intended to provide recommendations on tank cleaning aspects and the hygienic design of tanks and vessels. And focusses on the automated wet cleaning of the product contact surfaces of tanks using tank cleaning devices intended to remain in place. 

AWH are directly involved as part of the EHEDG ‘Tank Cleaning’ Working Group. Following the publication of this document we feel this would be an appropriate time to revisit our article on Efficient Selection of Cleaning Technology devices.
